Currently issued by TG Commodities, S.A. de C.V., an El Salvador Sociedad Anonima de Capital Variable, registered as a Stablecoin Issuer and Digital Asset Service Provider under El Salvador's Digital Asset Issuance Law and licensed by the CNAD — confirmed directly via a Tether.io press release quoting this exact legal description. A predecessor entity, TG Commodities Limited (BVI-incorporated, BVI Financial Investigation Agency-regulated), redomiciled to the current Salvadoran entity around January 27, 2025 per a dated 'Relevant Information Document' published on gold.tether.to. No single document was found formally attesting to the legal continuity between the two, but every source now converges on a redomiciliation narrative rather than two unrelated entities.

Swiss vault facilities. A 2026 secondary source states the vaults named in Tether Gold's own BDO Italia attestation report are operated by Brink's and Loomis — the first time a specific vault operator name has been found (previous research found only "Swiss vault facilities, Zurich cited" with no named operator). This was read from a third-party summary of the attestation, not the attestation PDF itself directly, so treat the specific operator names as reported pending direct confirmation against the source PDF.

Allocated. Tether states an 'undivided ownership interest' in specific, serial-numbered bars, viewable via a wallet-address lookup tool. TG Commodities acts as the tokenholders' representative in dealings with the custodian, rather than holders dealing with the custodian directly.

Minimum physical redemption is 430 XAUT (one LGD-bar equivalent), delivered to a Switzerland address after KYC verification; alternatively holders can request Tether sell the gold on the Swiss market and remit cash proceeds. A 0.25% fee applies to both subscription and redemption. Direct purchase from Tether Gold requires a minimum of 50 XAUT plus a non-refundable ~$150 (or equivalent) verification deposit.

Quarterly ISAE 3000 (Revised) limited-assurance attestations on reserves, performed by BDO Italia — confirmed via real attestation PDFs hosted directly on gold.tether.to's own attestations directory (e.g. ISAE_3000R_-_Opinion_TGRR_30.06.2025_RC187322025BD0179.pdf) and corroborated independently back to a 2022 Bloomberg report on Tether's original BDO Italia engagement. No independent source found anywhere corroborates 'BDO Malta' — likely an error in the single source that mentioned it. Could not extract the PDF's own text (binary/encoding issue on fetch), so this is 'reported' rather than 'primary' despite the strong convergence.

No issuer-paid yield on XAUT itself. Third-party DeFi integrations exist (e.g. using XAUT as collateral to mint a separate dollar-pegged asset) but that's not yield paid by the issuer.
