1 PAXG = 1 fine troy ounce of gold from a London Good Delivery bar. LGD bars vary roughly 370–430 oz; PAXG tracks fine-ounce content (fractional and divisible), not whole bars.

Issuer/custodian is Paxos Trust Company, N.A., a national trust company regulated by the US Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) — per Paxos's own current site. Older third-party write-ups describe Paxos Trust Company as NYDFS-chartered; treat that as outdated unless independently reconfirmed, since Paxos's own page and comparison table both currently state OCC.

LBMA-accredited vaults in London, operated by Brink's — confirmed directly on Paxos's own blog: 'we store gold reserves with Brink's bullion vaults in London.' Previously only reported via third parties; now primary.

Allocated. Each token maps to a specific serial-numbered bar (or a pro-rata share of one), looked up via the holder's Ethereum or Solana wallet address on Paxos's public lookup tool. Paxos may reallocate holders to different bars over time to consolidate holdings into the fewest possible bars.

Physical bar redemption requires a minimum of 430 PAXG (covering the ~370–430 oz variability of a single LGD bar) plus fees, delivered only to approved UK vault locations, and only to the registered account holder. Institutional customers can alternatively redeem into unallocated Loco London gold. Cash redemption (sale back to Paxos at spot) has no stated minimum.

UPDATE (as of 2026-09-24): Paxos's own knowledge base shows the previously-reported flat $15,000 redemption fee is outdated. Effective September 1, 2026, physical redemption fees follow a tiered rolling-30-day net-redemption-volume model, charged marginally per band: first $2M net = 0.125%, $2M-$10M = 0.250%, $10M-$20M = 0.350%, over $20M = 0.500%. Separately, in-kind conversion (PAXG to unallocated/allocated gold) carries a flat 0.05% fee. No recurring custody/storage fee (still waived). Creation fees waived through 1/1/2027.

Monthly attestation reports comparing PAXG token supply to vaulted gold holdings, published at paxos.com/paxg-transparency. Auditor named for the first time: Withum, a top-ranked auditing firm, independently verifies that PAXG's full token supply corresponds 1:1 with London Good Delivery gold held in Brink's vaults.

None. PAXG carries no native yield mechanism — it's a price-tracking, redeemable claim on physical gold with zero embedded income.

Ethereum and Solana — Paxos's own on-chain lookup/verification tool explicitly covers only these two networks.
